Hyöty (Tampere University), joined Prof. Decio L. Eizirik (Université Libre de Bruxelles) for a conversation with the EASD TV host Vivienne Parry.
The experts discussed emerging evidence linking enteroviruses, particularly Coxsackie B, to the onset of Type 1 Diabetes, highlighting findings from clinical and laboratory studies, antiviral intervention results, and advances in vaccine development that may inform future prevention strategies.
